The Book That's Sweeping America! Or Why I Love Business—spoofing the whole, ridiculous, business publishing enterprise, with its shameless self-promotion, self-important homilies, and absurd oversimplifications—was as inevitable as the power ties and cap-toed oxfords at a business lunch... At $17.95, the book is a smorgasbord of the sort of superficial business analysis that frequently appears between the covers of books like Sunbeam CEO Al Dunlap's "Mean Business" ("Cost is always your enemy") and Southwest Airline CEO Herb Kelleher's "Nuts!" ("Communicate, Communicate, then Communicate some more"). But in Butman's book, such writing is elevated to the level of satire, complete with charts, graphs, doodlings, and photographs, including one of the authors hovering behind Vice President Al Gore.
