Employees First is in Stores!

Vineet Nayar’s debut book, Employees First, Customers Second, has been published by Harvard Business Press and is now available in stores. The book continues to generate stellar reviews from publications such as the Financial Times and The Hindu, and was featured in The Times of India — the largest national daily in India — and Business Today, India’s leading business magazine. IPI collaborated with Vineet Nayar on Employees First, Customers Second.

A New Cookbook by an IPI Affiliate

Clara Silverstein, an affiliate of Idea Platforms, Inc., has published her fourth book and third cookbook, A White House Garden Cookbook (Red Rock Press). In it, Clara examines how First Lady Michelle Obama is encouraging healthy eating and explores White House recipes, past and present. The book includes ideas and suggestions to get kids excited about locally-grown vegetables and community gardening. Congratulations to Clara!

IPI’s New Look

We told you to be on the lookout for our new logo, and it’s finally here! When we changed our name to Idea Platforms, Inc., we decided it was also time for a new look, so the talented guys at Alphabet Arm updated our logo. They maintained the classic typeface — Tribute — and elegant curves of our previous logo while reflecting our new name. And they even managed to include another “curious little thing” between the “a” and the “t” — also known as a ligature. Watch for more changes to our website as we continue to expand!

EMPLOYEES FIRST in the Financial Times

Employees First, Customers Second, by Vineet Nayar, continues to receive positive reviews, this time in the Financial Times. “This short book by Vineet Nayar, since 2005 the chief executive of HCL Technologies, the Indian IT consultancy, is mostly written in an attractive, uncomplicated and direct style with not too many lapses into management jargon,” reports Jon Moulton. Moulton also writes that “Nayar is more of a leader than he claims. Or perhaps all that matters is that employees believe they are paramount; if this book is anything to go by, he must radiate infectious enthusiasm.” Idea Platforms helped develop Employees First, Customers Second.
