EMPLOYEES FIRST is Reviewed in The Hindu

The second largest English-language newspaper in India, The Hindu, published a glowing review of Vineet Nayar’s new book, Employees First, Customers Second. D. Murali agrees with C.K. Prahalad that “it is not very often that we get a firsthand account from a CEO about how he transformed his organisation from a slow decline to an engine of vitality and growth,” and concludes that the book is a “compelling read that you may later gift-wrap for your bosses!” IPI collaborated with Vineet Nayar on Employees First, Customers Second. IPI Attends BEA

IPI attended BookExpo America (BEA) 2010, which was held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in NYC. BEA is the premier book trade event in North America with 1,500 exhibitors, 500 authors, and well over 20,000 attendees. This year, the exhibition hall was open for two days mid-week; traditionally exhibitors have three days to mix, mingle, and promote their new titles and products. Throughout the show, IPI attended sessions about the future of publishing — particularly focusing on new digital capabilities — and continued those conversations with agents, editors, and publishing professionals in a myriad of meetings.

MVCG is Well Received

Mastering the VC Game by Jeff Bussgang, general partner at Boston-based Flybridge Capital, continues to generate excellent reviews. Scott Kirsner of Boston.com writes that “the book is honest, often funny, humble, and it doesn’t rely on jargon or get too deep into the financial mechanics of VC deals.” VC blogger Brad Feld also recommends it saying, “if there is one book about entrepreneurship and venture capital that you buy this year, make it Mastering the VC Game.” To date, Mastering the VC Game has been reviewed by FT.com, Boston.com, and Young Entrepreneur, and excerpted in multiple publications including WSJ.com, BusinessWeek.com, and TechCrunch.com. IPI worked with Bussgang to develop the book.

CIO Insight Loves IPI!

Two Idea Platforms collaborations have made it onto CIO Insight’s “20 Spring Books for IT Pros.” Leading Outside the Lines by Jon Katzenbach and Zia Khan is listed at #3 and Vineet Nayar’s upcoming book, Employees First, Customers Second is at #20. IPI helped develop both.
